28th August

Children are invited to come along with their mum, dad, gran or granda to join in with the fun at the gig. They can also enjoy music as much as the grown ups and can be entertained by the Jugglers and some Special Characters...not forgetting the face painting, hair colouring and bodyart to really feel a part of this carnival atmosphere!

Children under 14 enter the Gig FREE and are required to leave the premises by 7pm. The evening session is strictly for the grown ups!

LITTLE AND BIG KIDS ENTERTAINMENT

Music is not the only thing to be entertained by at the Glassel Gig!

In the Kids Bar, face and body painting, along with hair spraying is provided for a small charge by the Torphins Playgroup with all proceeds going to this local charity. Kids and adults are invited to add some colour to their face and hair and join in the festival atmosphere

During the afternoon Jim and Martin Aitken will be wandering the crowds to dazzle and amaze with balloon modelling and magic tricks. Look out for the walk-about-theatre characters and also poets offering a rhyme in exchange for a smile.

The Kids Bar is run by the Aboyne Adventure Playground Appeal - Teenage Park Project and all proceeds go towards this worthy charity.

This is the place to send the kids in the afternoon to get refuelled. The bar sells sweets, fruit, soft drinks, water, bubbles, balloons, glow sticks and other fun goodies.

In the evening the tent transforms into the cool teenage bar with U.V. lighting and a wild bunch of face painters intent on creating a weird and wonderful version of you!

All under 18's are required to purchase drink from the Kids Bar throughout the event.
