THE CELLERS

Richard Begbie Lead Guitar/Percussion/Backing Vocals
Alan McIntosh Guitar/Harmonica/Backing Vocals
Bryan Begbie Vocals/Percussion
Bass/Percussion/Keyboard - Karl Johnson

These Ellon based musicians have been playing in various guises for 10 years now, but as The Cellers for only one and half. Yet in that time have succeeded in finding a musical niche they can truly call their own. Now signed to Neon, an independent record label from Glasgow they are performing their original acoustic based Folk-Blues Rock all across Scotland. They recently supported TV comic Karen Dunbar of 'Chewing the Fat' fame to rave reviews and are launching an EP called 'Thai Whiskey Tears' this summer. They are sure to draw the attention of the discerning Glassel crowd with their unusual high-energy drive and unique style. Though they claim a wide range of influences such as Bob Dylan, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Band, Noel Gallager, Ryan Adams and various Blues classics, they consider the 60's and 70's to be their main source of inspiration. The Cellers are very keen to play Glassel, as Richard says, "Glassel is the most high profile event in Aberdeenshire and in Ellon there is a real buzz about the Gig - we can't wait to get on that stage!"
